Michael Zgurovsky

DPhil, Professor, Academic of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine (Department of Informatics, Computing Machinery and Automatization, System Analysis), Academic of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Academy, director of the Institute of Applied System Analysis of NAS of Ukraine and Ministry of Education of Ukraine, a member of Presidium of NAS Ukraine, a member of Council in questions of science and scientific and technical policy attached to the President of Ukraine, a member of the Committee in State prizes of Ukraine in the field of science and technique.

Member of numerous Ukrainian and foreign organizations:

• Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE);
• Member of the Governing Board of UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education;
• the National Member of Earth Data Network for Education and Science;
• Rector of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" since 1992;
• Director of Institute for Applied System Analysis of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
• Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
• Foreign member of Russian Academy of Sciences;
• Ukrainian National Representative for International Council for Science(ICSU)
• Member of ICSU World Data System (ICSU WDS) Scientific Committee
• President of Black Sea University Network (BSUN)

He works in the field of mathematics, cybernetics and, since recent times, sustainable development and globalization. His scientific and research interests focus on methodology of system analysis, the theory of decision making under uncertainty conditions, analysis and modeling of complex systems of various natures.

Michael Zgurovsky has made 40 inventions, and is the author of more than 300 scientific works, among them 30 books which have been published in different countries, His publications include:
